K. Flay stopped by Calgary last week on her “Every Where is Some Where” tour. It was her fourth visit to the city, this time performing at The Palace Theatre and flanked by Sir Sly.

With a packed house and a set list including “Blood In The Cut,” “High Enough” and “FML” this was one of those night for the books.

Where have you most enjoyed playing on this tour?

“It was a bucket list thing for me to perform in San Francisco, that’s where I began making music, so it was like a homecoming.”

If you weren’t a musician, what would you do?

“A question that troubles me at night… ha ha. It’s weird because when I decided to do music, I just never thought about a plan b. I went to school in social sciences, and my sister works with the US Government and is a bad ass, so perhaps something in that realm.”

What did you wear to the Grammy’s and how would you describe your personal style?

“I basically wore a nicer version of what I always wear. What I wear is informed by me feeling like me, and I like to look like myself always.”

Congratulations to K. Flay for her nominations at the Grammy’s for Best Rock Song and Best Engineered Album! We can’t wait for her next album which she’ll be recording in LA this summer.
